World No.1 Lee Chong Wei won’t have revenge on his mind when he meets one of the few players to have beaten him this year.

The Beijing Olympic silver medallist, who cruised into the final of the RM425,000 Yonex Sunrise Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold 2009 at Bandaraya Stadium today, said he is feeling confident of getting the better of China’s Chen Long in the title decider tomorrow.

chenlong2.jpgChong Wei thrashed Hong Kong’s Hu Yun 21-9, 21-8 in only 19 minutes and while Chen Long (pic) defeated Malaysian veteran Wong Choong Hann 21-10, 21-16, in 33 minutes.

The last time Chong Wei met Chen was in the opening round of the India Open in March where the Chinese player stunned the world No. 1 in three games. But it could be different this time as Chong Wei, who was suffering from food poisoning then, declared he is feeling 100% now.

“I don’t want to think too much about my loss as it is in the past. I’m only looking to the future,” said a confident Chong Wei. “I’m playing well and believe I should have the advantage in the final, but I won’t be over confident.

I didn’t expect to have an easy semi-final today as Hu gave me a tough time in the Sudirman Cup earlier this year. I’m determined to win my fourth title of the year and this will be special as it is being held in Malaysia.”

Chong Wei’s three titles this year were from the Malaysia, Swiss and Indonesia Opens Super Series events.

Chen, who upset second seed Taufik Hidayat in the opening round, admitted he will be the underdog in the final.

“There is a big gap between us and my aim is to give him a good fight in the final. Chong Wei was not at his best in India but he is playing well now,” said the former world junior champion.”
